The revision expands the list of products under control, reclassifies some product safety levels, and updates some product definitions. It is worth noting that this revision will add LED bulbs, night lights and other six products to the scope of mandatory certification products.

According to the standards, starting from June 1, 2018, products such as LED bulbs and night lights entering the Australian market must first apply for mandatory safety certificates (SAA certification).

It is reported that SAA Australia international standard company is Australia's only standards certification body.Whether imported or assembled locally in Australia, electrical products must first be certified by the Australian international standards corporation before entering the Australian market for sale.As a result of the mutual recognition agreement between Australia and New Zealand, all products certified by Australia can enter the New Zealand market smoothly.
